ACI (American Concrete Institute) Wason Medal Materials Research (Mar. 2020), for the paper “Dielectric Response of Concrete: Hardening and Hydration Development”, November/December 2018 issue, ACI Materials Journal (publication #20).  This is one of the most meritorious awards internationally in the field of concrete research.

    6. ACI (American Concrete Institute) Outstanding University Award (Feb. 2019), for the ACI University of Manitoba Student Chapter Activities during 2018; I have been the Student Chapter advisor/Officer since Sept. 2013.

Received several letters (2010-2017) of appreciation from the American Concrete Institute (ACI), international, for a number of technical presentations on durability of concrete as well as organizing three technical sessions on physical salt attack, thaumasite sulfate attack, and holistic aspects of sulfate attack on concrete with editing a special publication in 2012, 2014 and 2017, respectively.
    6. Selected by the editorial board of Construction Materials as a finalist for the 2010 best paper (journal publication #55) awards of ICE journals, UK.
    7. Received a letter of acknowledgment from the school probation committee at Queen’s University Belfast for the high-quality output in research, teaching and administration during the first year of service (2008-2009) in a three-year confirmation of post system (equivalent to the tenure-track system in North America).
    8. Nominated by the academic advisor for the 2009 Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) Doctoral Prize.
    9. Nominated by undergraduate students for the 2006-2007 Western Graduate Student Teaching Award.
    10. Graduate student award in 2006, for the best research production within the structural materials research group at the University of Western Ontario.
    11. Concrete Mixture Designer for the Western Engineering team at the Big Beam Contest (2005), organized by PCI (Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute). The team was awarded the fourth place in the international zone.
    12. Received a letter of acknowledgement from the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at the University of Western Ontario, as one of the best teaching assistants during 2004-2005.
